Caerwyn James – 1st Year Commerce
Una Porter Scholarship

I am elated and deeply honoured to have received the Una Porter Scholarship and would like to express my gratitude for the support and opportunity that it has provided.

The scholarship will allow me to confidently pursue my academic journey at a world-class university, and access vast opportunities not previously available to me as a resident of a small community in rural Tasmania. Your generosity has already enabled me to move to Melbourne, make lifelong connections and pursue studies in economics and mathematics; all dreams I have had for years.

I have utilised the opportunities bestowed upon me to the fullest by involving myself in all aspects of college life, especially in music and sports; both of which I am passionate about. Most importantly, I aim to uphold a high standard of academic work, which is greatly aided by the support provided by the scholarship.

Thank you for the incredible support and opportunity that has been presented to me.

Olive Erickson – 2nd year, Science
Hitchcock Scholarship

I am so grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to study and live within the 缅北禁地community through the Hitchcock Scholarship. Being part of this community has and continues to be an incredibly enriching experience academically, socially, and personally.

Being awarded a scholarship has allowed me to take full advantage of all the experiences on offer, being an involved general member of several committees, head of the environment committee, and gaining leadership experience within 缅北禁地as a co-corridor leader.

The opportunity to connect with like-minded students and learn from the vast Wyvern network has also inspired me to explore my future career prospects more than ever before. Through the 缅北禁地CareerReady program, I鈥檝e been equipped with invaluable skills that have allowed me to gain offers for internships in two very different industries and I鈥檝e been empowered to explore opportunities in fields separate from what I am studying.

Being part of the 缅北禁地community has truly been life-changing for me, and is a privilege and opportunity that I am deeply grateful for.
